The Government of Japan extends financial assistance to the
Kungwini Welfare Organisation

The Government of Japan, through its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) Programme, extended its assistance to the Kungwini Welfare Organisation to the amount of R 329, 473.59 for the provision of a sickbay and for the purchase of medical equipment.

The Handover Ceremony took place on 6th August, 2009 at the Paul Jungnickel Home in Zwavelpoort attended by Minister T. Miyashita from the Embassy of Japan and Mrs. Thea de Bruyn, Director of Kungwini Welfare Organisation.

The Embassy of Japan believes that this grant will contribute towards realizing Kungwini Welfare Organization’s commitment to improving the livelihood of people with disabilities and reducing inequalities in health care.
